Castle B&B Accommodations

Here you find a listing of castles offering Bed and Breakfast accommodations.

Scotland

Barcaldine Castle
Benderloch, nr Oban
Argyll PA37 1SA

The two principal guest bedrooms are comfortably and tastefully furnished with antiques and family memorabilia. Both are spacious and have heating, colour TV, mini fridge, hospitality trays with Scottish shortbread and mineral water, soft fluffy towels, heather scented soap and local area information.

The Barcaldine room has a king-size double bed and en-suite bathroom with original roll-top Victorian bath. Views are of open countryside to the front of the castle.

The Breadalbane bedroom, with a loch view, has one standard double bed and one 3ft (single) antique bed. Can be used as a double, twin or triple with one child and two adults sharing. A private shower room for the use of the the Breadalbane bedroom guests is adjoining the room.

Families with well behaved children are most welcome at Barcaldine Castle. However, for the benefit of other guests and due to the room arrangements, families with more than one child must reserve both bedrooms and there is no child reduction for children in their own room.

For parties of more than 5 guests we can also offer an additional double bedroom 'the Argyll'. Dinner is also available for 6-8 guests taking all rooms, making an ideal venue for a celebration weekend.

Cot available (suitable for babies under 2yrs only).

Castle Levan
nr Greenock
Gourock PA19 1AH

This ancient Scottish Castle built in the 15th century has a guest bedroom that was originally the Laird’s Bedroom. It contains a four-poster canopied bed made of beautifully carved wood in the royal style. The bedroom has many features as alcoves and the stone sittings by the windows and beamed ceiling. From its windows one can see a beautiful garden with a burn and two small waterfalls. There is a spacious private bathroom adjoining (with bath and shower). And in the bedroom itself there is a cute small room with a toilet and a basin.

The castle is overlooking the banks of the river Clyde and its position can serve as an entrance to the Highlands. From its battlements you can admire an incredibly wonderful view of the panorama of the hills across the Firth of Clyde. Wonderful amenities and cosy family environment with the Scottish and continental meals make your stay in this unique castle of the times past even more enjoyable.

Approximately 20 minutes by road from Glasgow International Airport - take M8, then at Junction 31 take A8 and from Greenock follow A770 to Gourock.
